it was a very regular wednesday last year on the eighth of december. i had paid my annual respects to john lennon on the anniversary of his death, cooked dinner, helped put two girls to bed, etc. etc. then, near the hour of ten, i realized that i needed a portrait. well, on the corner about one mile from my house, there are three grocery stores... enough food and portraits for years. on this particular regular wednesday, upon my entrance into one of these grocery stores, i ran into a neighbor of mine, an extremely friendly and happy neighbor. needless to say, he was gung-ho for participation in my little portrait project, so there, amongst the potatoes, the bagged carrots, and some steaks, we held our photo shoot.
